Purpose

The Midwest Undergraduate Computational Chemistry Consortium was founded in 2003 to help support students and faculty engaging in collaborative, undergraduate research involving computational chemistry. In particular, the consortium seeks to provide:

  • a friendly environment for students to present their research at annual summer research conferences and virtual winter conferences
  • avenues for students and faculty to learn about the breadth of computational chemistry from each other and from research university faculty
  • resources to assist research and teaching efforts at primarily undergraduate institutions
  • opportunities for faculty to share teaching pedagogies that incorporate computational chemistry into the undergraduate curriculum
